Harun TOKSOY was born in Sarıkamış, Kars in 1972l He completed his primary school and high scholl education in Kars. He graduated from Art Faculty of Atatürk University in Erzurum in 1995. He was appainted as an art teacher to Çaycuma-Zonguldak.
Except for his main art branch which is art of oil painting; he has Works on art of Turkish marbling, water colour, batik and relief. Influenced by the arts, especially Turkish marbling and batik, he worked on different projects. He met the sand, which is obtained from natural Stones while he was seeking for different kids. He also used his sand work on wood , which he started in 2000, on abstract and portrait Works in time. He gave lectures under the name of making art with sand, in Public Education Center (HEM) courses.
Harun TOKSOY who add a new dimension to portrait with natural sand benefitting from the Dekopaj technigue. He takes a great care about the sand which he uses in sand technique.
He carried out making art with natural sand professionnally for the first time in Turkiye and opened exibitions so that he provided Turkish Art new technigues and wievs.
In the portraits that Artist Toksoy made there are 17 portraits, there are portraits of famous singers and tiled plates. Among these portraits, there are portraits of dead famous singers.

Making art with sand Technique
Making art with sand technique is the technique of giving shape to the natural sand like soil mixture, with the help of a spatula on the main idea is making the mixture of the dark medium and light coloured sand carefully.
