HALE SAKAR URKMEZGIL
(1949, Ankara)

The artist graduated from the Graphics/Free Illustrations department of the Faculty of Fine arts of Marmara University in 1973. She worked as the Art Director and Creative Director in advertising business between 1973 and 1990.

She started making ceramic sculptures in 1989. She now carries on her figurative style making marble and bronze cast sculptures.

She has held nine individual exhibitions of her work in Turkey and three exhibitions in Hanover, Nicosia and Cologne. Umut Foundation, "Individual Disarmament and Individual Peace " Sculptural Award. "Her Weapon is Love'' Selecting Committee Encouragement Award. University of Ankara Gazi Egitim Painting and Sculpture Museum's "Love is Effort" Statue. France / "Roumazieres Loubert - Sculptures Dargile" performance competition (2003)
