Open Call for 5th Young Photographers Award
|
|
The
Moon and Stars Project of The American Turkish Society is pleased to
announce the open call for the 5th Young Photographers Award. Given by
Haluk Soykan and administered by The Moon and Stars Project of The
American Turkish Society, the Young Photographers Award seeks to
encourage and support undergraduate students of photography in Turkey.
It is made possible by a grant from the Young Photographers Award Fund
established by Haluk Soykan at Turkish Philanthropy Funds.
The online application for the 2014 Young Photographers Award is available at the official website and the deadline is May 15, 11:59 PM,
Istanbul time. One winner will receive a $5,000 award, and two
honorable mentions will each receive a $2,500 reward. The awards are
used to cover the recipients’ tuition and/or photography equipment. For

The Moon and Stars Project
was founded in 2002 in New York as a not-for-profit, all-volunteer
organization, dedicated to promoting greater cultural interaction
between the United States and Turkey, and Turkey, and highlighting the
changing face of Turkey's arts and culture scene. In 2011, following a
decade of unprecedented arts and culture programs, and having built a
dedicated corps of viewers and supporters, Moon and Stars Project became
a part of The American Turkish Society, a pioneer organization committed to enhancing ties and mutual understanding among the peoples of the U.S and Turkey.
