|Dear Abdullah Aydin,
The deadline for our second annual
R75ONLINE Animals, Birds & Wildlife 2013
competition is coming up fast...Monday, October 1st! This was a wildly (no pun intended) successful show last year and we look forward to seeing even more beautiful work this year! You can check out last year's exhibit and winners by clicking
here. Top prize is $2.500 in cash and there are numerous valuable merchandise prizes as well! FInd the prospectus and enter online by clicking here.
There's a little twist to "Animals" this time as well: After our selection committee chooses the Richeson75 finalists, the artists entering the competition will choose the winners! Every artist that enters will have three votes, and will be able to use only one vote per artwork (including their own piece if they are a finalist).
Next up will be
R75 Small Works 2013
Elizabeth Robbins (formerly Pruitt) "Still Life" Oct. 25-27 Elizabeth's elegant oil still lifes glow with light and subtle color nuances that have gained her international attention. And she's a gifted instructor too! Don't wait - this workshop is almost full!
The deadline is November 30, 2012
and the exhibit will hang at Richeson Gallery from Feb, 5 to March 22, 2013. Small works is traditionally our best attended (and best selling) gallery exhibit of the year. All artwork must be 144 square inches or less (height x width image area - not including mats/framing). Top prize for Small Works is $5,000 cash with other generous merchandise prizes for 1st and 2nd place winners in each category. We are also testing a new online entry service with this competition which we think will streamline your entry experience. Click here
for the prospectus and here
to enter online (you can also click through from the Richeson75 site).
The rest of 2013's Richeson75 competitions (online and in-gallery) are listed in the left-hand column of this newsletter so plan ahead!
